Hill's PRESCRIPTION DIET c/d Multicare Stress + Metabolic Cat Food with Chicken is a complete dietetic pet food for reduction of struvite stone recurrence (cause of feline lower urinary tract disease, FLUTD), for dissolution of struvite stones, for reduction of oxalate stones formation and for reduction of excessive body weight in adult cats. This food has low energy density, urine undersaturating properties for struvite, urine alkalising properties and contains a low level of magnesium, calcium and vitamin D.

    FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: Feed only this food. It is recommended that advice from a veterinarian be sought before use. Feed the correct daily amount based on cat’s ideal weight. For an efficient weight loss or ideal weight maintenance, the recommended daily energy intake should not be exceeded. A transition period when starting the diet is advised. FOR WEIGHT LOSS: Determine the amount of feed based on target weight rather than the current weight. FOR WEIGHT MAINTENANCE: Patient should be monitored to ensure that optimum body weight is maintained, increasing food amounts accordingly. Adjust the amount and number of meals as advised by your veterinary surgeon. Recommended time of use: dissolution of struvite stones: 5 to 12 weeks; reduction of struvite stone recurrence: initially up to 6 months; reduction of oxalate stones formation: up to 6 months; weight loss: until target body weight is achieved and after, if required to maintain the target body weight. Fresh water should be available at all times.
