Dr. Karen Shenoy assumed her current role as Vice President and Chief Veterinarian for Hill’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) in April 2025. Joining Hill’s 18 years ago in 2008, she has extensive veterinary industry experience, having advanced through positions of increasing responsibility leading professional and commercial teams, and most recently serving as Chief Veterinary Officer for Hill’s US. In addition to industry work, Dr. Shenoy has extensive clinical and teaching experience. She served as part-time adjunct faculty with a veterinary technology program for 3 years and has also worked in small animal clinical practice. Additionally, she spent 15+ years volunteering for and later working at the largest wildlife rehabilitation center in North America, serving as a full-time staff veterinarian at the center from 2005 to 2008.

With a passion for developing future leaders and a strong commitment to advancing the veterinary profession, Dr. Shenoy has served in leadership and volunteer positions within many industry organizations, including: the American American Veterinary Medical Association, Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition, Veterinary Innovation Council , Board of Chief Veterinary Medical Officers, Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, American Corporate Partners , and Women in Leadership and Management in Animal Health. She is a member of the European Society of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition and the European Society of Comparative Gastroenterology.

Along with their 12 year old daughter, 3 dogs, and 2 guinea pigs, she and her husband, James, relocated to Switzerland for Dr. Shenoy’s current role. They enjoy spending time outdoors and are fully embracing the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and to explore all that Switzerland has to offer.
