Hill’s 10 Week Challenge participants help out at the London Pet Show
Jumping rabbits, dancing dogs and fancy cats were just some of the highlights from the London Pet Show on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May 2015, in the ExCel Centre. A great event and definitely a success, we had a great time meeting some of our ticket competition winners and our Facebook fans.
Giving out smoothies by the truck load, we also got to have two special dogs and their owners helping us out on both days. Alaska and Mr Wizzy Puff, both participants of the Hill’s 10 Week Challenge; brought crowds in their droves to our stand and our Hill’s School for Dogs sessions presented by Leon and Matt Henderson-Lee from House of Hugo and TV’s The Dog Hotel. Mr Wizzy Puff was on his 8th week of the challenge and not far off from his perfect weight, losing 1kg so far. While Alaska had only been three weeks in and had lost an astonishing 2kg!
The dogs and their owners helped us speak to other pet parents about our Science Plan™ Perfect Weight pet food and helped during our Hill’s School for Dogs sessions, on tips to help pets get back in shape for summer. This was led by James Harris, the Group Clinical Director at White Cross Vets. Who, in front of an audience, talked Annabell (Mr Wizzy Puff’s owner) and Nikki (Alaska’s owner) through how to body condition score their pets and some simple exercise ideas that can be done at home and more.
We also had sessions on dog grooming hosted by the Pets at Home Groom Room team, and got some Chick action from the Fresh Start For Hens team, who were taking chicken selfies with some of our the Hill’s team.
Apart from giving away freebies, we were also selling a wide range of our Hill’s Science Plan™ pet food to raise money for Support Adoption for Pets. We’re glad to say that we raised a £480.00, so would like to thank everyone that bought our pet food on both days. We also want to thank everyone that took part in our competition, to win a Year’s supply of Hill’s pet food. We will be announcing the winner soon, so keep an eye on your emails, our social channels and website for the news.
